The Art That Almost Didn't Survive

For over 30 years, Ryan worked on some of Hollywood's biggest productions — The Avengers, Spider-Man, Cowboys & Aliens, Where The Wild Things Are, and more.

Before the cameras rolled, before the CGI, before the stars — there were drawings. Thousands of them. Sketches that covered production walls, mapping out compositions, action, and emotional cues, brutally analysed by the production team. For every final shot, a collection of storyboard sketches ended up on the editing room floor.

In today's AI-driven world, hand-drawn and human-made is becoming more rare every year.

Ryan, now a Gold Coast local, is putting some of that work on a wall — art that would otherwise be forgotten.
